Patti Palmer Lewis was the first wife of entertainer, Jerry Lewis. During World War ll, Patti was a featured vocalist with the Ted Fio Rito and Jimmy Dorsey orchestras. In 1945 while pregnant with her first son, Gary Lewis, Patti retired from the band business to raise what would eventually be six sons. Jerry Lewis left Patti for another woman in the early 1980s. Patti never remarried. Today, Patti Palmer Lewis lives alone in a room in a Southern California nursing facility, not far from the palatial mansions she resided in with her beloved family. Jerry Lewis (who has no direct contact with Patti), currently resides in a Las Vegas estate with his second wife and adopted daughter. Patti does have occasional visitors. Her son, Gary Lewis often travels to the West Coast see his mom, and visits with Patti whenever he is performing in the Los Angeles area with his legendary rock 'n roll group, Gary Lewis and the Playboys. Patti was the manager of Gary Lewis and the Playboys when they earned their first gold record in 1965.
